Pie Filling and Crumb Crusts

 

Our “Fruit Crisp Fillings” may be used as a pie filler, cobbler filler, a fruit betty or strudel.  No peeling, slicing, coring or paring of fruit.  Each #10 can contains its own separate package of crisp topping for sprinkling over the prepared Fruit Crisp Mix before baking.

These Fruit Crisp Filling Mixes are a blend of low-moisture fruits and other carefully selected ingredients.  Only the addition of water is required to prepare a delicious Fruit Crisp Filling.  No additional sugar and/or other ingredients are necessary.

In addition to the label directions showing how to make sheet pans of Fruit Crisp Mix to cut into portion servings, the labels also have directions for preparing luscious “Fruit Bars”.

Our Golden Crisp Topping Mix is ready to use.  Before baking, open the container and just sprinkle on a pie or on coffee cakes, cookies, sweet rolls, fruit bettys and cobblers.

A perfect blending under oven heat will result.  Baked products will be complemented by the beautiful golden brown crumb topping.

The use of graham cracker crumbs as a pie or cheese cake base is an old idea, but Bernard has some new ideas for you.  We have taken premium grade graham crumbs and blended them with Pure Vegetable Shortening and other ingredients to improve flavor and handling.

We Save You Labor and Waste

For soft dessert uses simply spoon the Crumb Crust Mix into the pan and press down firmly.  This is all that is needed to prepare Crumb Crust for Cheese Cake and other soft desserts.

For a firmer crust, follow the same directions for use with soft desserts and then place the pressed-down crumb crust in a 350 degree oven for six (6) to eight (8) minutes before adding the filling to the crust.  The crust will then be set enough to cut cleanly.  Chill and serve.
