Apple Crisp Instructions

Standard Baking Pan (45 servings)

  1. Preheat: Oven to 425°F.
  2. Combine: Mix entire pouch of filling with 3 quarts hot water. Let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Pour & Top: Transfer thickened filling to a 14" x 20" baking pan. Sprinkle evenly with the included topping mix.
  4. Bake & Serve: Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Cool slightly, then portion into 45 servings.

Extended Yield Variation (88 servings)

  1. Preheat: Oven to 425°F.
  2. Combine & Thicken: Mix pouch with 2 quarts hot water and 1 #10 can of desired fruit (with syrup/juice). Let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Divide & Top: Pour filling into THREE 9" x 13" pans. Sprinkle each with included topping.
  4. Bake & Serve: Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Cool slightly before portioning. (Note: Cranberry sauce filling needs to cool completely to re-jell.)

Apple Bars (60 servings)

  1. Prepare Crust: Use 1 ½ lbs Bernard Pie Crust Mix (prepared as directed) to line THREE 9" x 13" pans (bottom and partially up sides).
  2. Combine & Thicken: Mix pouch with 2 ¼ quarts hot water. Let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Layer & Top: Fill crusts with the thickened filling. Sprinkle each with topping.
  4. Bake & Serve: Bake at 450°F for 20 minutes, then reduce to 400°F for 25 more minutes. Cool slightly before cutting into 60 portions.

Tips

  • Type A Lunches: Portion accordingly.
  • Add Flavor: Grated cheese or nuts can be added to the topping for extra flavor.
