Directions
Large Batch Instructions:
- Add contents of 1 pouch (20 oz) to 3 quarts of water, 2 cups sugar, and 2 cups vinegar in a suitable container.
- Mix well with a whisk.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Yield:
1 gallon of sweet and sour sauce.
Smaller Servings:
- Mix 4 level tablespoons of the mix with ¾ cup water, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 2 tablespoons vinegar.
- Whisk thoroughly.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Yield:
1 cup of flavorful sauce.
Alternate Recipe:
Bernard Sweet N Sour Sauce Mix can also be used to make Orange Sauce. Simply add one bag of Sweet N Sour Sauce Mix to 3 quarts of Orange Juice and 1 quart of water. Mix until dissolved. Allow to stand for 10 minutes prior to serving (do not add any sugar or vinegar). For smaller servings, add 4 tablespoons of Mix to ¾ cup of Orange Juice and ¼ cup of water.
